I have over fifteen years of experience assisting and representing business clients with their business planning, transactional and intellectual property matters.

While I do some client work on a project by project basis, my specialty is to join a fast growing business in a part time but ongoing capacity as internal general or senior counsel. In this role, I work very closely with senior management teams and make the investment to truly understand the goals of each company. As a result, My clients receive strategic legal and business development advice tailored to each company, its risk profile, overall business objectives and its relationships with business customers and partners.

My specialty is working with technology and Internet entrepreneurs from idea phase to building high momentum, sustainable businesses. I focus on ensuring a business is properly optimized for creating significant valuation and growth through ideal business and capital formation, business model structuring, joint ventures, strategic partnerships and licensing. I also have extensive private company merger and acquisition experience resulting from several of my client businesses getting acquired by larger companies.

Prior to starting my own business planning practice, I was a corporate and intellectual property attorney at the national law firms of McGuire Woods and Wiley, Rein & Fielding in Washington DC.
